Update:They no longer serve the fish head curry but u can try requesting,call up to book or something…they also have a new branch at tampines central blk 505

Have u ever been to Race course road and whiff the DELICIOUSLY fragrant curry smell? ME thousand times!! Well, this was done few months back. I came upon it by accident. We saw this Halal restaurant name: Blue Diamond. And hunger for Indian dishes, we just try. Anyway, they were very friendly as if I was visiting a home. Very heartwarming, make me felt at ease. I wanted to taste fish head curry and they got me one. Then i got no idea what else to choose. SO they recommend fried bittergourd and chicken tikka. I love bittergourd but my friend hate that bitter vegetable! Anyway, it turn out the way they cooked it-the bittergourd is crispy and unbitter so much so that my friend actually LOVE IT!
The fish head curry is so out of my world. I dont think I could ever cook like that! So sedapp..so heavenly…with the ladies finger so soft and juicy and the red fish head is fleshy. It’s quite a big serving for 2 of us that we have it in doggie-bag. In the restaurant,we kept finishing the rice and they kept topping it up and also the Papadam crackers are always top up. All free including the fried bitter gourd.
Chicken Tikka is yummy and spicy. Very sHIOK!
We ate till the floor was dirty with rice (OMG This is one restaurant that I felt so at home! Previously at race course road , now move to Buffalo road opposite tekka taxi stand. Must try ALL -4.99 out of 5 stars !! Next stop…SAKUNTHALAS Food Palace or Dial-a-briyani/islamic briyani. Another HALAL option is SAKUNTHALAS Food Palace. It’ s a POSHER grander place. I’ve tasted their briyani. Very good but more high-end price.i’ve not tasted the fish-head curry. Heard it was good.Will try one day.. 19 Race Course Lane The restaurant at the above address is no longer there. 26/7/07: My friends tried the FISH HEAD curry. He said it’s better than BLUE DIAMONd. So perhaps 5 out of 5 stars?!One of my friend said it’s even better than MUTHU’s curry.Fish HEAD CURRY is $40(LARGE size)for about 6-8 people. 1. C2K @ CCK Park, walking distance from CCK Mrt(but recently i heard that some1’s glass of drink had a dead lizard inside, hvnt go thr since. oh well its in the middle of a park..hehehe)
2. di-tanjung katong cafe @ TKC, alot pf nice food thr includes nasi goreng indo, beef kway teow hongkong(alot of slices of beef), wantons are made of real chicken meat and dun 4get to try the steam fish(no fishy smell at all)
